The Indiana Area School Board has a very heavy agenda for its meeting tonight, including the immediate resignation of board member Tamara Leeper, the adoption of a budget, and a motion to take out a $10 million bond for various capital improvements.
The proposed budget would total more than $61 million, and would contain no increase in real estate taxes.
The board will also take up a number of personnel matters, including the reappointment of Jared Cronauer as the district’s treasurer. They will vote on a motion to revise and then advertise the Athletic Director’s job as a full-time position and hire a number of coaches, including head coaches for boys’ and girls’ soccer and golf, and girls’ tennis, plus assistants for football, cross country, soccer, and girls’ basketball.
The extensive agenda also includes an update on the Eisenhower Elementary project and paving for the Ben Franklin outdoor learning classroom project.
The Purchase Line School Board will also vote on its budget for the coming fiscal year. That’s one of a number of items on a busy agenda, which also includes a long list of policy revisions and proposals, the expenditure of $193,000 for a water treatment system at the high school, numerous personnel moves, and appointments for services for the new school year.
