The average cost of a gallon of gas continues to go up as crude oil prices remain high.
Triple A reports that the nationwide average as of this morning is now $4.32 a gallon, up 13 cents from last week and up 20 cents from last month. Pennsylvania’s average is now $4.50 a gallon, a 15 cent increase from last week and up 28 cents from last month.
Gasoline demand has increased over the last week, along with the cost of crude oil. Crude oil’s price is now over $105 a barrel.
Indiana County’s average is at $4.39 a gallon, which falls in line with most of the western part of the state and is among the lowest gas price averages. The central part of Pennsylvania is hovering around the middle of the state’s averages, with the Eastern part among the highest averages this morning.
Westmoreland and Jefferson County’s averages are the lowest in the region at $4.38 a gallon, Armstrong county is at $4.41 a gallon and Clearfield and Cambria is at $4.44 a gallon this morning.
