Mother nature played havoc with the Pirates schedule for the fourth time this season as Friday’s scheduled opener between the Bucs and the Cincinatti Reds was called off due to the rain.
The game will be made up as part of a split double header on Thursday, July 7th, with game one to start at 2:10 PM. The nightcap will be played at 7:10, pushing the start time back to allow for the completion of game one and a rest period.
Meanwhile, the Pirates play the Reds in a double-header today. Game one starts at 12:35, with the pre-game starting at 12:10 on WCCS. J.T. Brubaker will start today’s first game against Connor Overton of the Reds. In game two, the Reds will send Robert Dugger and the Pirates will send Mitch Keller.
