The Steelers yesterday declined to pick up the fifth-year option on inside linebacker Devin Bush, meaning he will play out the final year of his rookie contract this coming season and become a free agent afterward. Bush would have been guaranteed $10.892 million dollars for the 2023 season if the team had picked up the option.
The Steelers traded up ten spots in the 2018 draft to choose Bush, who suffered a torn ACL in his left knee in his second season and struggled in his return from the injury last year.
