The sentencing hearing for a Homer City man who pleaded guilty to corruption of minors and indecent assault of an unconscious victim was delayed.
No reason was given for the continuance of the sentencing hearing for 44-year-old Jeremy Chadwick. He entered guilty pleas in January of this year in connection with an investigation from June of 2016. A charge of aggravated indecent assault was not prosecuted.
Chadwick has been serving a sentence of up to a day less than two years in county jail after he was sentenced last November for five counts each of indecent assault and harassment and one count of corruption of a minor for incidents that go back to February of 2016.
Meanwhile, 38-year-old Bradley Smith of Indiana was sentenced for four cases. For a criminal mischief charge from March 7th of 2021, he was ordered to serve 9 months to a day less than two years in county jail and two years of probation upon his parole. For a receiving stolen property charge in January of 2021, he was ordered to serve one year of probation. He was also ordered to serve two years of probation for a retail theft charge and another year of probation for a disorderly conduct charge. Judge Michael Clark ordered the probation sentences to run consecutively.
