Today is the federal Drug Enforcement Administration’s Drug Take Back Day, and a local pharmacy is helping with that effort.
Diamond Drug and Diamond Medical Supply will be holding drug take-back events in connection with the Armstrong-Indiana-Clarion Drug and Alcohol Commission and the Indiana County Sheriff’s Office. This will be held today at the Diamond Drugs store on Philadelphia Street today from 10-2. The event is an anonymous one, and people are reminded to keep the anonymity in place as best as they can. All prescription and over-the-counter medications will be accepted except for sharps or syringes.
AICDAC will also offer free Narcan kits at the event.
