A man serving time on charges of indecent assault, harassment and corruption of minors will be sentenced today in a separate case.
Court documents show 44-year-old Jeremy Chadwick Johnson of Homer City will go before Indiana County President Judge Thomas Bianco today for a sentencing hearing that has been delayed once before. In an investigation that goes back to June of 2016, Johnson was initially charged with aggravated indecent assault of an unconscious or unaware victim, indecent assault of an unconscious victim and corruption of minors. In January of this year, Johnson pleaded guilty to corruption of minors and indecent assault, with the aggravated indecent assault charge not prosecuted. In June of last year, Johnson was found guilty by a jury of five counts each of indecent assault and harassment and one count of corruption of a minor for incidents that go back to February of 2016. Johnson was ordered to serve nine months to a day less than two years in Indiana County Jail for that series of incidents, along with three years of probation, and must also register as a Meghan’s Law offender for the rest of his life.
Sentencing is also scheduled today for 38-year-old Bradley Smith of Indiana. He entered a guilty plea in one case where he was charged with stealing a rug scrubber from the Walmart in White Township in March of 2021. He also pleaded guilty to criminal mischief for an incident on March 7th of last year, a receiving stolen property charge from January of 2021, and a disorderly conduct-engaging in fighting charge from October of last year.
A plea court hearing is also scheduled today for 22-year-old Matthew Clark Brumbaugh of Indiana. He is charged with possession of marijuana and possession with intent to deliver for an incident on March 10th of last year.
