Oil prices have been rebounding over past few days, and we are now seeing the effect of that at the gas pump.
The national average cost of a gallon of gas, according to Triple-A, is $4.12 a gallon. It went up a fraction of a cent over the last 24 hours, but it has gone up four cents over the last week, and it is still 12 cents lower than last week.
Pennsylvania’s average held steady at $4.20 a gallon over the weekend. Much like the national average, it too is four cents higher than last week. It is also 16 cents lower than last month.
Indiana County’s average is now $4.15 a gallon as of this morning. Cambria County has the lowest average among the neighboring counties at $4.11 a gallon. Then Indiana, then a three way tie with Armstrong, Clearfield and Westmoreland County at $4.17 a gallon each. Jefferson County’s gas price average is the highest in the region at $4.19 a gallon.
Shelocta’s gas price is $4.19 a gallon, according to Gasbuddy.com, Indiana and Clymer have $4.17 a gallon prices. Gas prices in Homer City went up over the weekend to $4.15 a gallon, while Blairsville’s prices remain the cheapest in the county at $4.09 a gallon.
