In baseball, the Marion Center baseball team stung the Homer-Center Wildcats in a game seen on Renda Digital TV on our websites. Todd Marino reports.
The Marion Center softball team also beat Homer-Center lost to Marion Center, 9-6. Both teams had eight hits on the day, but Marion Center scored the bulk of its runs in the first two innings. Cheyenne Silvis of Marion Center picked up the win, going four innings allowing two hits and no runs while striking out five.
Also, Northern Cambria beat River Valley, 4-3, in softball last night. Hannah Foust took the complete game loss for RV, striking out five and giving up three hits. Tori Foust was 3 for 4 with 2 RBI, Brooklynn Furman hit a solo HR and Bailey Dunlap was 2 for 3 for the Panthers.
