The Pittsburgh Steelers have announced they will return to Latrobe for training camp later this year.
Reports say that this marks the first time in two years that they will be able to practice at Saint Vincent College, which had been their training camp home for 54 consecutive years before the pandemic. NFL rules during the Covid-19 Pandemic prevented the team from being able to go to Saint Vincent in 2020 and 2021, with the training sessions held instead at Heinz Field.
In a statement, team president Art Rooney II said that they were excited to return and they appreciated the support from both the College and the city of Latrobe. Training camp dates will be announced later this spring.
