State police say that they investigated more vehicle crashes during Monday’s ice storm than what was originally reported by Indiana County 911.
While the county Emergency Management Agency dispatched fire crews to seven different vehicle crashes between 2:00 and 6:00 PM on Monday, police say that they investigated 15 crashes between 1:15 PM and midnight yesterday. The majority of those crashes were in East Wheatfield Township, with five. Three were reported in Buffington Township. Cherryhill and West Wheatfield township each had two crashes, and Center, White and Pine Township each had one.
During the same time period, troopers also investigated a burglary, a case of criminal mischief, two thefts, two domestic disputes, a suspicious person, and a traffic violation, along with a traffic stop, a security check and a domestic security check, making the day a busy one for troopers.
