As an ice storm hit Indiana County on Monday, several vehicle accidents were reported during that storm.
Over a three-hour time period, Indiana County first responders were called out for seven vehicle accidents. The first crash was reported at 2:07 PM on Hutchinson Hollow Road in East Wheatfield Township. Armagh and Clyde fire departments and Pennsylvania State Police were dispatched at the time. Nine minutes later, a vehicle accident was reported on Route 422 East in Pine Township, with Pine and Cherryhill Township fire departments, Citizen’s Ambulance and State Police were called out at the time. And at 2:28 PM, Armagh Volunteer Fire Department and State Police were called out for an accident on Route 56 East.
The fourth crash of the day was reported at 3:15 PM with Armagh and Clyde fire departments called out again for the crash on Route 403 South in East Wheatfield Township. The next crash was reported at 3:51 PM with Vintondale Volunteer Fire Department called out to Pyer Road. At 4:52 PM, Homer City fire crews, State Police and Citizens Ambulance were called out for a crash on Route 56 East in Center Township. And Armagh and Clyde fire departments were dispatched for a third time together for a crash on Route 711 in East Wheatfield Township.
