Unemployment in Pennsylvania continues to fall to levels seen before the pandemic.
The Department of Labor and Industry reports Pennsylvania’s jobless rate at 4.9 percent for the month of March, down two tenths of a percent from the previous month. This marks a 2.2 percent decline from March of last year. In addition, labor officials report that since April 2020, Pennsylvania recovered 82 percent of the jobs lost at the height of the pandemic.
Jobs also increased of the last month in eight of the 11 industry supersectors, with the largest gain reported in Professional and Business Services.
