Homer-Center trounced United last night in a Renda Digital Media game-of-the-week webcast.

A five-run fourth inning broke open a 2-1 game as River Valley trounced West Shamokin, 10-2. Rocco Bartolini and Andrew Baker each had three hits and Bartolini drove in three for the Panthers. Baker got the complete game win.
Northern Cambria lost to St. Joseph’s Academy, 3-2.
Indiana took a 6-0 lead into the top of the 7th and had to hold off Highlands, which put up 5 runs in the inning before Indiana shut them down to win it, 6-5. Indiana scored 3 runs in the 1st, 1 in the 3rd, and 2 in the 5th. Michael Tortorella had three hits, including a double, and 4 RBIs for the Indians.
SOFTBALL
River Valley outslugged West Shamokin, 11-8. Brin Gardner, Belle Pyons, Hannah Foust, and Emerson Skirball each had multiple hits and Hannah Foust struck out 17 as the Panthers won for the third time this week.
Homer-Center scored 7 runs in the third inning and beat United, 8-2. Julia King hit a run-scoring double, McKenna Kishlock drew a bases-loaded walk, and Mya Fatula had an RBI single, then King batted a second time in the inning and singled in two more runs. King earned the win with seven innings pitched, giving up two runs on eight hits and striking out ten. Fatula had three hits and King two for Homer-Center. For United, Abby McConville struck out 12 Wildcats and had two hits. Coral Grassmyer and Jaelyn Lichtenfels also had two hits.
Cambria Heights scored five runs in each of the first two innings, four in the third and one in the fourth to beat Penns Manor, 15-0. Karli Storm had three hits and Alexis Griak had two, and they both hit home runs.
Armstrong beat Indiana, 10-0.
