As illness continues to ravage the Penguins roster, they managed to get a point but lose an opportunity to clinch their 16th straight playoff appearance last night.

The Penguins continue to deal with a non-covid rash of illnesses going through the locker room. Bryan Rust and Evan Rodrigues both had to leave the game in the first period last night and other players are suffering, too.

After missing fifteen games with an injured arm or hand, Brock McGinn returned to the Pens’ lineup last night. McGinn played 22 shifts and logged just over 16 minutes of ice time, with no shots and one blocked shot.
The Penguins play the Islanders again at PPG Paints Arena tomorrow night.
The Washington Capitals blasted the Philadelphia Flyers, 9-2 last night. The Caps trail the Penguins by three points in the Metro Division standings with a game in hand.
