After a rainout yesterday in St. Louis, the Pirates return to Pittsburgh today for their home opener against the Chicago Cubs. First pitch from new Pirates lefthander Jose Quintana is scheduled for 4:12 this afternoon. He’ll be facing the Cubs southpaw Drew Smyly.
The Pirates are billing it as “4:12 on 4/12 (April 12th) in the 412 (area code).” The Bucs play against the Cubs today and tomorrow, and then play four more at PNC Park against the Washington Nationals over the weekend.
Yesterday’s postponed game against the Cardinals has been rescheduled as part of a day/night doubleheader on June 14th.
