PennDOT is giving motorists that drive through the Route 286/422 widening and resurfacing project area that there may be more delays next week.
Authorities say that crews from Gulisek Construction out of Mt. Pleasant will start line painting activities during the daylight hours near the entrance to Walmart along Oakland Avenue and Indian Springs Road. Crews will also be moving traffic signal heads as well. The work will take place from 7 AM to 6 PM on April 12th and the project will be postponed if inclement weather comes into the area.
This work is part of the $19.83 million project in that area that includes the installation of sidewalks along Oakland Avenue, drainage and guide rail upgrades, replacing the McCarthy Run Bridge, and widening and resurfacing the Route 422/286 interchange. The project is expected to wrap up in December of next year.
