Indiana Borough Police have charged a Lucernemines man with several crimes, including DUI and possession of a prohibited offensive weapon.
Police say that on April 4th at 3:09 PM, officers conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of South 4th Street after seeing the vehicle run the stop sign. The driver, identified as 20-year-old Trevor Cole Day was driving on a suspended license. After a subsequent investigation, police found him to be under the influence of a controlled substance. A search of the vehicle turned up some items of drug paraphernalia along with a prohibited offensive weapon, but police did not say what the weapon was.
Day was arrested and taken to a local hospital, but he refused a blood test. After officers obtained a warrant for Day’s blood, he once again refused the blood test.
Along with the DUI and offensive weapon charges, Day was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on a suspended license and failure of duties at a stop sign.
