Gas prices are still headed downwards across the United States, and in Pennsylvania.
According to Triple-A, the national average as of this morning is $4.12 a gallon, which is down a penny from yesterday, and down eight cents from last week. Last month, the gas price was close to the highest level since the start of the war between Russia and Ukraine, with prices at $4.25 a gallon on average.
Pennsylvania’s average is also going down, down a penny from yesterday to $4.22 a gallon. Last week, the statewide average was six cents higher at $4.28 a gallon. The PA average last month was $4.39 a gallon.
Indiana County’s average as of this morning is $4.24 a gallon, tying it with Armstrong County. Cambria County has the lowest average among the counties surrounding Indiana, with $4.22 a gallon. Westmoreland’s average is now $4.23 a gallon. After that comes Indiana and Armstrong Counties, then Clearfield County with an average of $4.25 a gallon, then Jefferson with the highest at $4.26 a gallon.
In Indiana Borough and White Township, gas prices are hovering between $4.23 and $4.25 a gallon. Clymer’s price is at $4.23. In Homer City, prices are between $4.17 and $4.19 a gallon. The lowest prices in the county can be found in Blairsville, with the lowest being $4.17 per gallon at the Sheetz on Route 22 just outside of Blairsville. The Sheetz on Market Street is at $4.21, and VP Racing Fuels is at $4.23 a gallon.
