The United Lions baseball team improved to 2-0 with a win over Purchase Line, 10-3, at Purchase Line Tuesday evening.
Bradley Felix was the winning pitcher for United, going six Innings, surrendering five hits, three walks, and one earned run. He struck out six batters. Zack Travis threw the last inning of relief for the Lions.
United had eight hits as a team, with Caden McCully leading the way with three. Ben Tomb and McCully drove in two runs, while Wade Plowman was the team leader in RBI’s with three and added two hits.
For Purchase Line, Austin Chambers was the losing pitcher, but he did lead the Red Dragons offense with three hits on the day.
United is scheduled to play host to River Valley on Wednesday at United, while Purchase Line is scheduled to play host to Penns Manor on Wednesday. Purchase Line is now 0-2, while United is 2-0.

Indiana lost its home opener to Freeport, 6-2, at the White Township Complex.
Softball
United and Marion Center won in routs, with the Lions beating Purchase Line, 22-5, in Heritage Conference action, and the Stingers defeating Brookville, 11-1, in non-conference play.
