During the Clymer Borough Council meeting Wednesday night, the borough’s fire chief warned of a scammer using the fire department’s name.
Chief John Gromley said during his report that someone has been emailing people in Clymer Borough claiming to be with the fire department and asking for funds for the department. Gromley said that the fire department will never directly email anyone to solicit funds, and talks about what to do if someone receives this email.
In other business, Clymer Borough Council gave approval to Columbia Gas to start work at 7:00 AM daily for their pipeline replacement project.
