The Pittsburgh Penguins are getting ready for the first of a home-and-home series with the Colorado Avalanche.
The Pens are coming off a strong showing in a 3-2 victory over the Minnesota Wild on Thursday despite losing Jason Zucker to injury once again. No update has been provided on his injury. The Pens are facing the Avs for the first time since January of 2020, when the Pens won 4-3 in overtime.
With just 13 games left in the regular season, Pittsburgh looks poised to clinch a playoff berth for a 16th consecutive year. The Penguins current stretch of 15-straight playoff appearances is the longest active postseason streak among teams in the major North American professional sports leagues, and is the eighth-longest run of any NHL club since the 1967 NHL Expansion.
You can hear the game starting at 2:00 on U-92.5 FM and the U-92.5 Sports Channel.
