A Rural Valley man was found by authorities asleep at a gas station in White Township on Wednesday. State police say that at 8:16 AM, troopers were dispatched to the Sheetz on Ben Franklin Road in White Township for a man found asleep at the gas pumps. The suspect, identified only as a 48-year-old man from Rural Valley, showed signs of impairment and was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending the results of a blood test.
A Butler man was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI after a traffic stop on Saturday at the intersection of Indian Springs Road and Wayne Avenue. State police say that the suspect, an un-named 20-year-old, was seen committing several summary traffic violations and was pulled over. The driver was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI and charges are pending the results of a blood test.
State police have released some details on a criminal trespass in Burrell Township that goes back to last November. Police say that between November 1st of last year and January 3rd of this year, an unidentified person or persons broke into a residence and detached garage on Pine Street in Black Lick. The property owner, a 42-year-old un-named man, believed that the intruders may have been “squatting” on the premises, as furniture and clothing were moved and disturbed, and items that did not belong to the victim or his family were found in the home and the garage.
