INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
A Venango County man is facing charges of simple assault and harassment for an incident early Sunday morning. Indiana Borough Police say that officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Philadelphia Street at 4:42 AM for a possible domestic dispute in progress. Police discovered 22-year-old Nicholus Roberts of Cooperstown had assaulted his domestic partner. Roberts was taken into custody without incident. He was arraigned on Sunday and placed in Indiana County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is set for April 6th.
Two Altoona teens were charged with underage drinking after a crash early Sunday morning in Indiana Borough. Borough police say the incident occurred in a private parking lot in the 200 block of Rice Avenue. Two occupants, 19-year-old Ameenah Pearson and 18-year-old Emily Chaplin were in an intoxicated state. Citations were filed against each through District Judge Guy Haberl’s office.
