Three fires, including a brush fire, were reported on Wednesday in Indiana County.
The brush fire was reported at 3:57 PM, and was along Creekside Road in Armstrong Township. Creekside fire officials said on its Facebook page that crews were on the scene for about 30 minutes before the fire was contained. No word yet on how many acres were damaged. This marks the 12th brush fire this year.
The other two fires were reported structure fires. The first of these was reported at 4:33 PM along Route 85 in South Mahoning Township. Marion Center, Dayton, Rural Valley and Plumville fire departments were dispatched, along with the Hazmat team and Citizen’s Ambulance. Marion Center fire officials said that a truck had caught fire in a garage, and the fire spread to the building.
The third fire of the day was reported along Stiffler Lane in Green Township. Clymer, Commodore, Cherryhill, Cherry Tree and Pine Township fire departments were dispatched at 8:13 PM along with Citizen’s Ambulance to the scene. No details are available on this fire.
