State police have released their enforcement statistics from IUPatty’s Weekend.
Between Thursday, March 24th and Sunday the 27th, State Police made a total of 336 traffic stops, resulting in 155 traffic citations and 95 written warnings. They investigated eight vehicle crashes and also assisted five motorists.
As far as arrests made by state police that weekend, most of them were for possession of alcohol by someone under 21. There were 35 arrests made on that charge. That was followed by 10 DUI-drug related arrests. Nine arrests were made for possession of drugs or paraphernalia and nine for alcohol-related DUI. There were also a handful of arrests for false ID, public drunkenness, DUI-drug and alcohol related, and one arrest was on a warrant service.
Indiana Borough Police have not yet released their statistics for IUPatty’s weekend. The Indiana Area Collaborative Team reported no major incidents during the weekend.
