Indiana Borough Police have released some of the details of cases they investigated in the first parts of IUPatty’s weekend.
The first report was on Thursday night, where police stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of South 7th Street. The driver, identified as Gia Gomez of Pittsburgh, was in possession of alcoholic beverages and charged with underage drinking along with traffic offenses.
An incident of marijuana possession was also reported in Indiana on Friday night. At 9:38 PM, police conducted a traffic stop for a summary violation. The passenger, identified as 19-year-old David Bukovitz of Windber, had alcohol and marijuana in the vehicle with him. Bukovitz admitted the items were his. He was charged via criminal complaint.
And this morning, police were called out to the Sheetz at the intersection of 4th and Philadelphia Street for a report of retail theft and underage drinking. Police say that at 1:52 AM, police learned 18-year-old Brylynn Kennedy-Crockett of Philadelphia consumed an alcoholic beverage in the store and tried to leave without paying for some items.
