The average cost of a gallon of gas across the nation held steady, while the descent continued in Pennsylvania.
The national average according to Triple A this morning is $4.25 a gallon. That’s no change from Sunday, but it is a seven-cent decrease from last week at this time. The statewide average went down a penny on Sunday, with the average for Pennsylvania now at $4.32 a gallon. Last week, gas prices were ten cents higher.
Indiana County’s average as of this morning is $4.31 a gallon. Armstrong County remains the lowest average in the region at $4.29 a gallon. Westmoreland County’s average is $4.30 a gallon. Jefferson and Cambria County’s averages are $4.32 a gallon. The highest average in the region is $4.36 a gallon in Clearfield County.
The lowest average in the state is $4.24 a gallon in Chester County. Pike County remains the highest in the state at $4.45 a gallon.
Gas stations in Indiana, Clymer and Homer City are at $4.29 a gallon this morning with the exception of the Kwik Fill station in Homer City, where gas prices this morning are at $4.25 a gallon. Gas prices in Blairsville are also at $4.25 a gallon this morning.
