On Thursday, the Homer-Center School Board was updated on the progress of the strategic plan.
The plan has been under discussion by the academic committee. The draft plan has been sent to the board for its review. Board president Michael Bertig said that the plan will be due in August and he does not expect any drastic changes.
The board also accepted, with regret, the resignation of district solicitor Daniel Cooper effective June 30th of this year. Bertig had high praise for the long-time solicitor.
The board also had high praise for the girls’ basketball team on their playoff run, the district’s swim team and those who were taking part this week in the Heritage Conference Academic Challenge.
