The PIAA Saturday afternoon announced the venues and tipoff times for the quarterfinal round of the 2A and 3A girls’ basketball playoffs coming up on Tuesday.
The District 6 2A champion Homer-Center girls will travel to Centra Cambria High School in Ebensburg to meet the No. 3 seed out of District 6, Bellwood-Antis, with a tipoff time of 7 p.m. Bellwood-Antis defeated West Middlesex, 52-42, on Friday. Homer-Center is coming off a 55-48 victory over Serra Catholic.
In 3A, the District 6 champion River Valley girls will take on Freedom Area, the WPIAL runner-up, at Norwin High School in Huntingdon with a tipoff time of 7:30 p.m. Freedom beat Greenville, 56-28, on Friday, while River Valley knocked off Chestnut Ridge, 68-48.
Homer-Center’s game will air at 6:30 p.m. on WCCS FM 101.1 and AM 1160. The River Valley girls’ game can be heard on Cat Country 106.3 FM beginning at 7 p.m.
