National gas price averages jumped six cents overnight. The national average price for regular unleaded is up to four dollars and six cents a gallon, according to Triple-A. That’s the highest in 14 years and just a nickel short of the all-time high of four-eleven a gallon, set in July of 2008.
Pennsylvania’s gas price average also jumped six cents from yesterday to $4.23 a gallon. This also represents a 46-cent jump from last week at this time.
Indiana’s average this morning is $4.17 a gallon, tied with Cambria and Jefferson Counties. Clearfield has the lowest average in the region at $4.13 a gallon, Armstrong County’s average at $4.18 a gallon and Westmoreland’s average this morning is $4.21 a gallon. Erie County has the lowest average at the state level at $4.03 a gallon, while Pike County has the highest average at $4.35 a gallon.
As of this morning, gas prices are $4.19 a gallon in Indiana, Homer City, Blairsville, and Clymer, according to GasBuddy.com
