The Homer-Center and Penns Manor girls battled for a third time this season, this time with a spot in the District 6 finals on the line.

Coach Nick Moore says he could tell his Homer-Center girls were ready even before they took the court.
In the other semifinal, Lexie Martin scored 20 points and Bishop McCort erased a four-point, fourth-quarter deficit to defeat Bellwood Antis, 71-61. Martin, who is from Homer City and is related to Homer Center coach Nick Moore, was one of five McCort players in double figures.
Homer-Center will play McCort for the girls’ Double-A title in the first game of a doubleheader Thursday night at Mount Aloysius, with Penns Manor tangling with Portage for the boys’ Double-A championship in the nightcap.
