A traffic stop turned into a drug arrest on Friday afternoon in Indiana Borough. Borough police say that at 3:17 PM on the 18th, they pulled over a vehicle in the “00” block of South 7th Street. They discovered that the driver, 27-year-old Matthew Kline, Jr., was driving on a suspended license. A search of the vehicle discovered drug paraphernalia. Kline was charged via summons through district judge Guy Haberl’s office.
Indiana Borough Police have charged an Indiana man with public intoxication for an incident on last Wednesday along Maple Street. Police say that they were called out and found Jamie Swanger was intoxicated to the point that he was a danger to himself and others. Swanger was taken to Indiana County Jail on a temporary hold and was issued a citation.
A Bedford man was charged with underage drinking and public intoxication for some incidents Saturday in Indiana Borough. Police say that they were called out at 3:54 AM for multiple reports of a man knocking on resident’s doors. Police found 19-year-old Van May, and determined he was inebriated to the point that he was a danger to himself and others. Charges were filed through District Judge Guy Haberl’s office.
