The Steelers yesterday announced the hiring of former Carolina Panthers offensive line coach Pat Meyer to be their new line coach. Just last week, the Steelers hired Panthers assistant Frisman Jackson as their new wide receivers coach.
Jackson was still on Carolina’s staff at the time of his hiring. Meyer was fired at the end of last season. Meyer played one year in the NFL and has coached 20 seasons, including stints with the Panthers, Chargers, Bears, and Bills.
ESPN reports the Minnesota Vikings will officially name Rams offensive coordinator Kevin O’Connell the team’s next head coach tomorrow.
