The River Valley school board will hold a special meeting tonight at which they will consider a bond resolution to finance a school athletic complex.
The board last month voted 5-4 to authorize Remington & Vernick Engineering to proceed with the development of a 2D conceptual design of a complex that would include a football stadium, baseball and softball fields, and support structures, with the cost estimated at about $6 million.
The board will also vote on a separate measure to replace the bleachers in the school gymnasium. The work would be done by Knight Athletics at a price not to exceed $167,000.
There are several personnel items on the agenda as well, including the hiring of a music teachers at the middle-high school.
The special voting meeting will be held at 6:30 at the middle-high school auditorium. Prior to the meeting, at 5:30, the finance committee will meet in the Panthers Lair.
