After playing (and winning) in different venues on Monday night, the IUP women’s and men’s basketball teams get back together tonight for a doubleheader against Cal U. at the KCAC, where again there will be no fans permitted to attend.
The women lead off the action, bringing a 16-5 record into the game, including 10-5 in the PSAC. The Crimson Hawks have won four in a row, all on the road, and they have won five of their last six games. Their last loss was at Cal, 62-46 on January 31st. Cal is 14-4 and 9-4 in the conference.
The IUP men moved up a spot to number seven in the nation this week in the D-2 coaches poll. They are 20-2, and 14-2 in the PSAC. They are in first place in the West, a game ahead of UPJ. Cal is 15-5 overall and 10-4 in the conference, in fourth place in the PSAC West. IUP beat Cal, 84-71 on January 5th.
IUP is trying for its seventh straight season sweep of Cal.
