Not everyone is enthusiastic about the Governor’s final proposed budget, including the local representatives to the state government.
State Senator Joe Pittman called Wolf’s request for an increase in the minimum wage “disingenuous” as he sees financial problems ahead for many Pennsylvanians if the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative is implemented.
State Representative Jim Struzzi was also not in agreement with the Governor’s Budget, saying that he does not expect revenues to increase at the same rate as the spending in Wolf’s budget.
With the Governor’s budget presentation, the process is now underway to put a budget in place by June 30th.
