A Seward man serving time in prison is facing new drug possession charges from the search of a home in Fairfield almost a year ago.
Reports say that Jeffrey Lych of Seward has been in prison in Westmoreland County since last October for possession of heroin and methamphetamine. The New charges include possession of heroin and meth and receiving stolen property. The new charge stems from an incident on April 6th of 2021 when State Police searched a home Lych was visiting in Fairfield. Police found him in possession of over 18 bricks worth of heroin and 25 grams of methamphetamine. Troopers also said that the Lych admitted possessing a stolen .308 caliber rifle that troopers found in the home.
A hearing is set for February 22nd for this case.
