Indiana Borough Police say a hit-and-run driver struck the traffic control signal post at the intersection of Philadelphia and South 6th Streets late Wednesday night or early on Thursday.
The offending vehicle damaged the decorative base and the pedestrian control. Police say it appears to have been a tractor trailer-type vehicle that went up over the curb while making a right turn from South 6th onto Philadelphia Street.
A hit-and-run driver struck another vehicle and fled Wednesday night in the 700 block of Wayne Avenue. Borough police say a black Nissan Rogue struck the back of the other vehicle at about 8:30 PM and fled west on Wayne Avenue.
Anyone with information on either accident is urged to call police at 349-2121.
