Expect things to be slick today and tomorrow as a wintry mix of precipitation is expected to come through our area.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Indiana County from 7 AM today to 10 AM tomorrow. A mix of precipitation is expected. We’re already seeing some rain fall this morning. That rain could change to sleet and later snow as the temperature dips. And with the road hitting freezing temperatures, ice could form ahead of the 1-3 inches of snow that is anticipated tonight and into tomorrow.
The northern half of Indiana County could see different conditions than the southern half, according to Accuweather Meteorologist Heather Zehr,
PennDOT has issued its own advisory about the storm that’s expected to come through, saying that people should avoid any unnecessary travel during the storm as roads are expected to be slick.
