IUP football coach Paul Tortorella yesterday announced the addition of a mid-year transfer quarterback.
Mak Sexton joins the Crimson Hawks with two years of eligibility after playing for Division Two Pittsburg State in Kansas, where he is the sixth all-time leading passer in two full seasons and the covid-shortened 2020 season.
Sexton threw for 37 touchdowns and 4,883 yards at Pittsburg State, including 2,180 yards and 16 touchdowns in 2021. He redshirted in 2018 and played the full 2019 season, throwing for 1,694 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Pittsburg State was 8-3 last season, losing their three games by 11, 1, and 2 points.
