The upcoming winter storm was on the mind of the Homer City Borough Manager during Tuesday night’s borough council meeting.
One of the topics of manager Robert Nymick’s report is the fact that the borough has had some equipment problems this year with their snow removal equipment.
Nymick added that the borough is in snow removal mode and will work on side streets and Main Street and they will continue with that effort until the weather forces them to go back to plowing streets.
In other business, Nymick detailed some gas line work going on by People’s Gas. They are currently replacing gas lines on South Lincoln, Railroad, East and West Church Street and a small section of Elm Street are being worked on. Nymick said that while now is not the best time to affect the repairs, it is something that needs to be done.
