The U.S. Department of Agriculture has announced a group of grants for rural communities, facilitated by two programs. One of the grants will provide $80,800 for Clymer Borough to purchase two new fully-equipped police vehicles.
The grant for Clymer is through the Ag Department’s Community Facility Direct Loan and Grant program. The other program included in the distribution is the Economic Impact Initiative Grant program.
The announcement also includes grant for Carrolltown and Dean Township in Cambria County; for Manor Township in Armstrong County; and for the Sutersville Fire Company in Westmoreland County.
