Pitt played without head coach Jeff Capel and his brother and top assistant Jason yesterday and lost at Boston College, 69-56.
The Capels stayed in Pittsburgh due to covid protocols, and the team was informed of it just 15 minutes before boarding the plane for Boston. The game was pushed back 30 minutes because of the timing of the arrival of the Panthers’ plane in Boston. It had originally been scheduled for Saturday but was delayed a day because of the snowstorm.
