Indiana Borough Police have charged an Indiana woman with aggravated and simple assault along with harassment for an incident early this morning in Indiana Borough.
Borough police say that they were called out at 12:15 AM to the 1200 block of School Street for a reported domestic assault. The caller reported that he was stabbed in the torso. When officers arrived on scene, the police found the victim with stab injuries. The victim claimed that 39-year-old Chamine Ayers had stabbed him after an argument broke out between the two. Ayers was arrested and taken to Indiana County Jail to await arraignment.
Police were assisted on-scene by Citizens Ambulance and the IUP Police Department.
