Multiple fire companies are on the scene right now of a fire at a home along Route 119 in Rayne Township.
The fire call went out at 4:50 this morning for Marion Center, Plumville and Creekside fire companies, the HazMat team and Citizens’ Ambulance for a working structure fire at 6559 Route 119 in Rayne Township near Keith Specialty Supply. The structure involved is a two-story aluminum sided house. Initial reports say the fire started in a chimney and spread into the walls and into the basement. Heavy smoke was also reported throughout the home by fire crews as they responded to the scene.
Clymer fire department was called to the scene about 10 minutes later to provide assistance. No word yet if there are any injuries from the fire. Route 119 in the area of the fire will be restricted to one lane of traffic to provide firefighters with the room they need to operate, and PennDOT Salt Trucks have been requested to the scene as well.
