Both IUP basketball teams both came up just short last night in their PSAC games at UPJ.
Jack Benedict has the recap.
The Crimson Hawks’ women continue to struggle to find their game playing without injured leading scorer Courtney Alexander. Coach Tom McConnell says they are wasting too many offensive opportunities.
Men’s coach Joe Lombardi credited UPJ for their play and said the Hawks were not quite good enough last night.
IUP’s very busy week continues tomorrow night with a doubleheader at the KCAC against Edinboro, followed by a Saturday doubleheader at home against Mercyhurst. Then the Crimson Hawks will play again on Monday, the women at Cal U., and the men at home against Slippery Rock.
