The Buffalo & Pittsburgh Railroad has not said what caused the derailment of a train Monday in West Mahoning Township. The company had the Granny Coon Road rail crossing near Smicksburg cleared by yesterday afternoon.
The locomotive and seventeen rail cars hauling cardboard and scrap metal went off the rails along North Point Road. There were no hazardous materials on board.
