UPDATE: Both postponed games listed below have now been rescheduled. IUP will host Gannon on Monday, January 31 at 7 p.m. and Slippery Rock on Monday, February 7 at 7 p.m.
Monday night’s IUP men’s basketball game against Slippery Rock at the Kovalchick Complex has been postponed due to travel conditions and concerns. A makeup date has not yet been determined.
This is the second time this game has changed dates. IUP was originally set to host Slippery Rock on January 10 but it was moved back one week because of COVID-19 protocols.
This is the second straight postponed game for the 10th-ranked Crimson Hawks, who also saw their Saturday (Jan. 15) game against Gannon pushed due to the PSAC’s health and safety protocols. That game also does not have a makeup date.
IUP is 13-1 overall, including 7-1 in conference play, and is coming off a 70-67 win at No. 7 Mercyhurst last Wednesday. Next up for the Hawks is Seton Hill this Wednesday night in Greensburg. Tipoff is 7:30 p.m.
For those who have already purchased tickets for any IUP home games affected by the postponement, please keep your tickets as they can be used for any rescheduled games.
