On Wednesday, the Penns Manor School Board approved the Act I resolution concerning the district budget.
The resolution says that the district will not increase taxes above the mandated limit from the state Department of Education. For Penns Manor School District, that would be a 5% increase. If the district maxes out the tax increase, it would bring in an extra $220,000 to the district. Superintendent Daren Johnston said that this does not lock the district into a tax increase for the budget.
The board also approved a quote for $1,058 with Pittsburgh Stage, Incorporated to complete a theatrical equipment inspection of both the High School and Elementary School stages.
